Elderberry products (syrup, smoothie pops and “Elderbeary Bears”) plus our own homegrown pesto (classic and non-dairy) is now live on our new website!
We have pretty limited supply with these first trial batches, but we’re already excited for next year’s harvest. (There’s also a spot on this page to donate toward our farm relocation, every bit will help us in expanding our farm offerings.)

Elderberry Behind-The-Scenes:
– Elderberry trees produce white flowers and dark berries that are rich in vitamin C, vitamin A, fiber, and antioxidants (great for immune support!)
– Elderberries are naturally toxic so MUST be cooked down before consumption (Although they’re toxic to us in their raw form, birds love them — hence the netting over the trees to save the harvest for us)
– Elderberries require cross-pollination, meaning you need at least two trees to yield a good harvest — there are currently three on this farm
– Elderberries are usually ready for harvest in late summer to early fall (we harvested in September this year). Once harvested from the tree, it’s best to freeze right away until it is processing time!
– Lastly once the berries are destemmed, its time for it to get cooked down and mixed with other goodies like honey and fruit syrups to be made into its final form of syrup, gummies, etc!
